Making a Difference at Rollins College
Riken Construction teamed up with Rollins College to provide the girls Softball Team with their first locker room since the program was founded 30 years ago.
The team has been one of the only varsity programs at Rollins to not have a locker room since the program was founded in 1987. A building outside the left field fence of the softball stadium was leased by the college from the City of Winter Park, and the inside was completely renovated to create this new locker room space.
From an article in the SandSpur, coach Frew commented on the importance of their new space saying… “our players will have a place to store their valuables during practices and games. It will also serve as a meeting place for the team. Even more, we now have a place to take shelter during inclement weather.”
We spent a month remodeling the space to provide the girls softball team and Rollins College with a locker room they would be proud of. And then… we watched the girls see it all for the very first time! Check it out…
Thank you for choosing Riken as your construction company. We wish you the best. Good luck girls!!
