Over the last few years, we have spent more time in our homes than in the past. For some, working from home has become a permanent full-time occurrence, and homes needed to be updated to accommodate this. While others have desired to update areas of their home to create more space, update design elements, sell their home or add efficiency. No matter the reason, whether you are completing a full or partial home renovation, you want to make sure that you are partnering with the right construction company that is going to walk you through the process. Planning is the key to remodeling. Looking at the big picture as well as each area to be remodeled. This allows you to budget for the project effectively and prioritize the process. The Riken Construction process begins with the planning phase of any remodeling project. We take our time to walk you through the planning and budgeting phase, so there are no surprises. Some of the most common remodels are bathrooms, kitchens, room additions, and whole-home renovations. We had the opportunity to work with a lovely family in Deland on a full-home renovation that we highlight below. The Deland home is approximately 2400 SF. We were contracted to perform a complete gut of the kitchen, remodel both bathrooms, replace the AC unit, and update exterior siding and flooring. The project took just over about 95 days. The majority of the scope was on time and on schedule. The only delay was a result of the windows being on backorder. Paint selections were made prior to the start and sourced at the local Sherwin Williams. The AC unit was replaced in the home and the exterior chimneys had new siding installed.

Kitchen Before & After

The countertops were provided by Southeast Stone, and they are a Carrick matte finish, the floor tile was preselected by the homeowner, and the kitchen cabinets are by Matrix Cabinets and in a shaker style. The client decided on stainless steel appliances, accents, and black drawer pulls and handles.

Living Area Before & After

Both the client and our team were thrilled with the end result of this area in the home. The fireplace has a modern feel and is a beautiful focal point in the room. The crown molding, trim molding, and updated flooring also modernizes the room and creates a beautiful space. The splash of color on the walls and the natural light brightens the room.

Bathroom Area Before & After

Everything from the color palette, floors, and shower area was designed to create a space that feels welcoming, with a spa wellness feel.

Bedroom Area Before & After

Our bedrooms tend to be a place where we not only sleep but read, relax and spend time. The warmth created with the wood-style flooring, neutral paint shades, and natural light sources is cozy.
